1922 - Born in Koblenz (Germany) 13th December
1936 - Arrives in Portland, Oregon, USA
1943 - Inducted into the U.S. Army Air Corps, then serves in the India, China and Burma theater of War 1947 - Enrolls at the University of Oregon Art and Architecture Department and works with Jack Wilkinson
1949 - Graduates from University of Oregon in June. Shows work in Portland along with other artists. Sails to France to work with Fernand Léger 1951 - First one-man show at the American Library of Paris 1952 - Works in New York
1960 - The Metropolitan Museum of Art de New York purchases him a monotype for the permanent collection
1962 - Marries a french fashion editor, and devides his time between Paris and New York
1964 - Acquisition of an oil painting for the permanent collection of the Museum of the University of Oregon at Eugene
1977 - Acquisition of four monotypes by the Musée National d'Art Moderne, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris
1979 à 1985 - Travels to Japan : Exhibitions in Tokyo, TV interviews and meetings with japanese artists
